C3’s second cohort of undergraduate fellows, selected from a competitive applicant group from LADO schools, begins its summer adventure this week at Columbia University and UC Berkeley.
The cohort is made up of 11 talented students from five different colleges. This year’s undergraduate fellows include:
At UC-Berkeley: Maya Doig-Acuña, Middlebury College; Alyssa Flores, Smith College; Amira Lundy-Harris, Amherst College; and Victoria Yan, Smith College
At Columbia University: Jeremy Glover, Bates College; Ahmad Greene-Hayes, Williams College; Brittanie Lewis, Amherst College; Syeda Malliha, Amherst College; Cheswayo Mphanza, Middlebury College; Andrea Penman-Lomeli, Middlebury College; and Madelene Santizo, Bates College
During the eight-week program, each undergraduate fellow will provide research assistance to a faculty member, while simultaneously developing his or her own research under the guidance of that mentor and a graduate student mentor.
Fellows will also participate in weekly seminars, workshops, and group events, get insider knowledge and preparation for the graduate school application process, and take a GRE preparation class.
